Active Lifestyles
A survey in the London Evening Standard last month revealed that sports facilities in Wandsworth are the best equipped in the capital.
The poll highlighted the borough's 73 council-run tennis courts, five pools and two running tracks as well as its many parks and commons. The council has invested millions in its leisure facilities in recent years to make sure they can meet the aspirations of an increasingly active and fitness-conscious population.
This summer we opened four new gyms – two in Battersea and others in Tooting and Barn Elms. The result is an energetic borough which offers a growing range of opportunities for a healthy lifestyle. Whether, you're at school, work long hours in the city or are retired, there are modern facilities to suit your needs.
