Putney's new sculpture trail
The work of respected British sculptor Alan Thornhill now forms a unique mile-long Putney sculpture trail in a major new piece of public art.
Thornhill, 86, is a veteran British sculptor. His sculpture 'Load' has stood on Putney Embankment for 20 years and his studio has occupied the same site in Putney for half a century.
He has given eight works as a gift to the people of Putney and these now form the mile long trail, which has been created with funding and support from the council, the Putney Town Centre Partnership and the Western Riverside Environmental Fund.
